It took Notre Dame just four weeks to move into the top-10 of the Associated Press poll, something they haven't done in nearly six years.
The Irish are up one spot to No. 10 in this week's AP poll after their 13-6 home win over then-No. 18 Michigan, which has fallen out of both polls after its second loss. Notre Dame jumped four spots to No. 11 in the USA Today coaches' poll.
The school has not appeared in the AP top-10 since the week of Nov. 19, 2006, when the Irish were No. 6, according to director of football media relations Brian Hardin. Notre Dame has not appeared in the coaches' top-10 since the pre-bowl polls of the 2006 season.
Stanford, which the Irish will face at home in three weeks, is at Nos. 8 and 9 in the AP and coaches' polls, respectively. Future opponent Oklahoma is Nos. 16 and 15 following its home loss to Kansas State, which jumped to Nos. 7 and 8.
USC is No. 13 in both polls. Michigan State is Nos. 20 and 18.
