Just because spring football is over doesn’t mean Torii Hunter Jr. has to stop making highlight-worthy plays.
The Notre Dame receiver-outfielder was at it again this past weekend, doing his best imitation of his father by leaping over a fence to make a catch for the Irish baseball team.

A running Hunter Jr. hauled this ball in Saturday in foul territory in right field, before flipping over the fence into the Florida State crowd. He hopped right back into the field of play afterward, nonplussed by it all.
Hunter had entered the game a half-inning earlier as a pinch-runner and stole a base.
A redshirt junior receiver, Hunter starred during his day job with the Irish football team one Saturday earlier in the Blue-Gold spring game, making a 50-yard, one-handed catch on a throw from Malik Zaire.
Both plays earned him #SCTop10 recognition.
No word yet on whether Hunter’s father will now pursue a second act in football to try to one-up the son.
