ALAMEDA, Calif. -- While Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen said he was “encouraged” by running backs Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings practicing for the second straight day as they recover from strained hamstrings, he was not yet ready to proclaim them ready to go Sunday against Kansas City.
“There’s obviously still some time involved, but I do like the progress that they’ve made and signs are pointing towards that they’ll be able to play,” Allen said, “but we’ll see.”
The Raiders have the NFL’s No. 4-ranked rushing attack in terms of yards per carry with an average of 4.7 yards, while the Chiefs are just 30th in the league in allowing 5.3 yards per carry.
