ALAMEDA, Calif. -- There were no surprises Friday on the Oakland Raiders' status report for their home opener against Jacksonville as rookie left tackle Menelik Watson (knee) and tight end David Ausberry (shoulder) were both ruled out of the game.

Neither player practiced all week, and Watson underwent arthroscopic surgery on a lateral meniscus last week, per ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Watson is expected to be out for at least a month, though Raiders coach Dennis Allen would not confirm the report, citing team policy to not discuss injuries.

Linebacker Kaluka Maiava, though, was a late addition to the Raiders’ injury report with a groin issue as he was limited in practice and listed as questionable to play against the Jaguars.

Strong safety Tyvon Branch (shoulder) and place-kicker Sebastian Janikowski (right calf) were both listed as probable.
