It appears running back Latavius Murray will be the Oakland Raiders' primary kick returner in light of a season-ending injury to Kory Sheets.

Sheets announced on Twitter that his season is over. He suffered an Achilles injury in the Raiders’ 31-21 loss at Green Bay on Friday night. Sheets, 29, was signed by the Raiders out of the Canadian Football League.

On Wednesday, Oakland coach Dennis Allen said the kick returning battle was between Murray and Sheets. Murray likely had the edge over Sheets before the injury and Sheets was considered on the bubble to make the roster.
