It wasn't too long ago that Yasiel Puig was showing his Los Angeles Dodgers teammate, pitching ace Clayton Kershaw, around his home country of Cuba, but just recently, Puig had a turn to be a tourist alongside fellow hitter Adrian Gonzalez. Gonzalez is a Mexican-American who has played in Mexicali before at the exact stadium, Estadio B-Air, that the pair visited.
Los Venados de Mazatlán play las Águilas de Mexicali in the Mexican Liga del Pacífico final, with the winner representing Mexico in the Caribbean Series in the Dominican Republic starting February 1.

The two L.A. players took batting practice together before being part of the pregame ceremonies for the final. Gonzalez and Puig also threw out the ceremonial opening pitches for the game.

Back in 2009, playing for Mexico, Gonzalez --then with the San Diego Padres-- hit three home runs in the Mexicali stadium as part of a Caribbean Series win against the Dominican Republic team. No doubt he still has fond memories of that place and enjoyed his visit there with Puig.
