Tune in: Will USC triumph or trip on signing day?
Posted by ESPN.com's Ted Miller
Will USC claim another recruiting national championship, or will UCLA pull a couple of last-minute recruiting coups and sack the Trojans?
Not to shill for ESPN, but if that question raises an eyebrow of interest you'd best take Wednesday off and watch every moment of the nine hours of "ESPNU Recruiting Insider: National Signing Day," which will roll from 7 a.m. (PDT) to 4 p.m.
USC presently ranks second on ESPN's Scouts Inc. team rankings, and the signing day show will feature the players that could put the Trojans at No. 1 live... or see them slide a couple of spots.
A couple of live announcements are head-to-head with UCLA: No. 2 Manti Te'o, OLB (Punahou/Honolulu, Hawaii) and No. 35 Xavier Su'a-Filo, OT (Timpview/Pleasant Grove, Utah).
Other ESPNU 150 prospects considering USC who are expected to announce their decision live are: No. 4 Dre Kilpatrick, CB (Gadsen/Gadsen, Ala.); No. 9 Jelani Jenkins, OLB (Good Counsel/Wheaton, Md.); No. 29 Frankie Telfort, OLB (Gulliver Prep School/Miami, Fla.); and No. 71 Bryon Moore, Jr., ATH (Narbonne/Harbor City, Calif.).
Also, USC recruit and No. 1 in the ESPNU150 Matt Barkley (Mater Dei/Santa Ana, Calif.) will be interviewed.
Lowell Galindo will host the Signing Day special along with ESPN's Scouts, Inc. national recruiting director Tom Luginbill, ESPNU college football analyst Charles Arbuckle and former Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville. David Amber will anchor another news desk at the Charlotte studios that will track notable developments and offer additional analysis and commentary from two more Scouts Inc. analysts -- Craig Haubert and Bill Connely. The show will also integrate fan comments from ESPN.com and ESPNU.com and will feature a matrix graphic that will display constant updates of school recruiting classes.
