Stanford recruiting climbing the charts

Jordan Richards, a four-star athlete from Folsom, Calif., has committed to Stanford, ESPN's Greg Biggins reports.

Richards, 5-foot-11, 185-pounds, also considered Arizona, California and Oregon before deciding on the Cardinal.

In 2009, Richards rushed for 492 yards and nine touchdowns, caught 53 passes for 883 yards and nine more scores, recorded 55 tackles and intercepted four passes.

ESPN's Tom Luginbill's analysis: "The Cardinal continues to upgrade their speed and athleticism at the skill spots with a guy in Richards that has played just about everywhere. We think he will likely end up as a corner or wide receiver given his speed, quickness and ball skills. He is a playmaker that makes big plays on both sides of the ball consistently."
