Washington State and Montana State look like two evenly matched teams.
It's 13-7 in the third. The stats are nearly even.
That's the problem for the Cougars. They are struggling at home vs. an FCS team.
Of course, they are not the only team that has struggled against a quality FCS foe -- see Virginia Tech, Ole Miss and Minnesota.
But the Cougars need to beat Montana State. It's the only team on the schedule when they won't be a decisive underdog.
Where would the Cougs confidence be at 0-2 after a 65-17 loss at Oklahoma State and a loss at home to an FCS team?
And it won't help that the grumbles about coach Paul Wulff will only grow louder.
