Pac-10 Heisman update: Week 8

Here's a look at what the Pac-10's top Heisman Trophy candidates did over the weekend.

LaMichael James, RB, Oregon: James and Oregon were off last weekend. The Ducks play host to UCLA on Thursday. James moved up to No. 2 in the ESPN.com "Heisman Predictor." He leads the nation in rushing with 169.6 yards per game.

Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford: Luck and Stanford were off last weekend. The Cardinal plays host to Washington State on Saturday. Luck was No. 8 in the ESPN.com "Heisman Predictor." Luck ranks ninth in the nation in passing efficiency.

Matt Barkley, QB, USC: Barkley replaces Arizona QB Nick Foles on this update after Foles suffered a knee injury at Washington State that will sideline him for a few weeks. Barkley threw five TD passes in a blowout win over California, completing 25-of-37 for 352 yards. He leads the nation with 20 TD passes and ranks eighth in passing efficiency.
