Olson out eight weeks

From the LA Daily News:

UCLA quarterback Ben Olson will miss at least eight weeks after breaking the fifth metatarsal in his right foot during a non-contact drill Saturday.

It is the same injury Olson (Thousand Oaks) suffered in the spring.

A decision on whether to have surgery to put a new screw in his right foot will be made in the next few days, according to a release from the school.

The injury occurred during Saturday's practice when Olson was handing off the football and felt pain in his foot

Odds are that Kevin Craft will step in, redshirt freshman Chris Forcier and freshman Kevin Prince also possibilities, as is Osaar Rasshan, the only other QB on the roster who's thrown a pass in a Bruins game uniform.

Anybody else feel like Olson is due a break in his star crossed career?

Moreover, I second the sentiments here from Bruins Nation. Made me feel bad about being slightly flip about Olson being "oft-injured" in a previous post.

I can't imagine any Bruins fans disappointment over another Olson injury eclipses Olson's own distress.
