Rivalries play out on the field. And in recruiting.
It appears that Washington has snagged a lineman who was previously committed to rival Washington State, with 6-foot-7, 255-pound lineman Stephan Nembot of Montclair Prep (Van Nuys, Calif.) switching his Apple Cup allegiances to the Huskies.
A native of Cameroon, the three-star prospect said a home visit this week convinced him to go with the Huskies.
"I had a really good home visit with the Husky coaches Wednesday," Nembot told ESPN's Greg Biggins. "Coach [Jimmie] Dougherty and coach [Steve] Sarkisian were here and I liked what they had to say. I like the direction the football program is going in and the academics at Washington are very good as well."
Here's more from the Seattle Times.
Washington has 22 commitments.
