Arizona will play two quarterbacks against Central Michigan on Saturday, and it's becoming more likely that neither will benefit from the presence of All-Pac-10 tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Coach Mike Stoops told reporters that he hasn't decided who will take the first snaps against the Chippewas, but that both will play based on his and offensive coordinator Sonny Dykes' “instinct and feel for the game."

Matt Scott seemed to be leading the competition until a late push from Nick Foles. Scott is more mobile than Foles, but Foles was more on target over the past week.

Gronkowski has missed all of preseason camp with a back injury. Stoops said he has not been cleared by medical staff to return to full-contact practice and he might sit out Saturday's season opener. Even if Gronkowski does return, he likely would see only a limited number of plays.

On the bright side, receiver Delashaun Dean, who's also missed all of camp, is expected to return to practice Monday night and will be full-go.
