How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
Yes, and how many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
- Arizona quarterback Nick Foles, who didn't play in the opener, will get a shot against Northern Arizona, though Matt Scott is the starter.
- Arizona State quarterback Danny Sullivan is eager for start No. 2 -- note the part where the coeds in class figure out he's not just a player but he's THE QUARTERBACK! Another Sun Devil freshman is cleared academically.
- This is an amusing story from Jonathan Okanes: If you had to pick a couple of Pac-10 players to make you dinner, I'd go with California's two kickers. This guy gives the Bears scary depth at defensive end.
- Oregon's offensive line must get better if the season is going to be a success. Defense wasn't bad. Update on Ducks' injuries.
- UNLV thinks its going to beat Oregon State. Linebacker Keaton Kristick -- dude, you need to get Kirkpatrick to use a more tough-guy photo -- wants to buck the Beavers slow-start trend.
- Stanford might be bluffing, based on this practice guest. Stanford's visit to Wake Forest is big.
- Tennessee might have inside info on UCLA QB Kevin Prince.
- USC had a false alarm on swine flu. Stafon Johnson is the Trojans closer.
- Washington and Idaho are connected. The Huskies have questions in the secondary.
- Washington State and a stadium called Qwest. Some injury issues might hit the Cougars' depth.
- Jon Wilner on the Pac-10 week that was and will be. Dan Raley's Pac-10 notebook.
