Who stood out this week?
Donald Butler: The Huskies linebacker forced a fumble, grabbed an interception and recorded a game-high 12 tackles, with two coming for a loss, in Washington's 16-13 upset of USC.
Steve Sarkisian & Nick Holt: They combined to beat their mentor, Pete Carroll, in Washington's 16-13 win over USC. They didn't use a bunch of tricks and gimmicks. They just did it with good schemes and by reinspiring a program that had wilted under Tyrone Willingham.
Jahvid Best: Best scored five rushing touchdowns, tying a school record, and his 131 yards on 26 carries in California's 35-21 win at Minnesota gave him seven consecutive games with at least 100 yards rushing.
LaMichael James: Oregon's redshirt freshman running back had a career-high 152 yards rushing on 27 carries with a touchdown as the Ducks ended Utah's 16-game winning streak.
Washington State: The Cougars fought back from a 24-7 third-quarter deficit to win in 30-27 in overtime. WSU was fighting for its season. And it won. A gutty performance -- two touchdowns on long interception returns -- that should give coach Paul Wulff a lift.
Omar Bolden: The Sun Devils cornerback returned the opening kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown and picked off a pass in a 38-14 victory.
UCLA's offensive line: The Bruins didn't give up a sack and Johnathan Franklin rushed for 115 yards and a score on 26 carries.
