With starting UCLA quarterback Kevin Prince still at least a week away from returning, Kevin Craft is expected to start Saturday at Stanford.
The Bruins were off this past weekend, and coach Rick Neuheisel had said that he wanted Craft to continue to compete with true freshman Richard Brehaut for the start. Brehaut was No. 2 on the depth chart when Prince broke his jaw late in the win over Tennessee, but Craft's experience earned him the nod on Sept. 19 vs. Kansas State, a 23-9 Bruins victory.
Craft started all 12 games in 2008 and threw a school-record 20 interceptions.
In a comeback win over Stanford last year, however, he had his best day, despite getting sacked seven times, completing 23 of 29 passes for 285 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He threw the game-winning touchdown pass with 10 seconds left, which capped an 11-play, 87-yard drive.
