Tough weekend for Stanford.
First, it dropped its second game in a row in a shootout at Arizona, with star running back Toby Gerhart limping off the field with a sprained ankle in the waning moments.
Then it lost one of its marquee recruits to Notre Dame: ESPNU 150 wide receiver Tai-ler Jones (Gainesville, Ga.).
Of course, if a young man changes his mind once, he might change it again.
