Who stood out in Week 9?
Jeremiah Masoli, QB, Oregon: Masoli masterfully ran Oregon's offense in the Ducks 47-20 dismantling of USC. He completed 19 of 31 passes or 222 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions and he also rushed for 164 yards on just 13 carries with a score.
Kevin Riley, QB, California: Riley completed 27 of 44 passes for 351 yards with two touchdowns in the Bears 23-21 win at Arizona State. He was 5 of 6 for 85 yards on the 11-play drive that was capped by a 24-yard, game-winning field goal with 21 seconds left.
Jacquizz Rodgers, RB, Oregon State: How is this guy not a top Heisman candidate? Rodgers had 112 yards rushing on 24 carries, 96 yards receiving on seven receptions and a 14-yard touchdown pass in Oregon State's 26-19 win over UCLA. Yes, he threw for a TD.
Kevin Prince, QB, UCLA: Prince may have proved himself as the Bruins' starter. He completed 22 of 34 passes for 323 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions against Oregon State. He was 9-of-13 for 198 yards in the fourth quarter, when he led the Bruins back from a 19-3 deficit.
LaMichael James, RB, Oregon: The redshirt freshman rushed for 183 yards on 24 carries in the win over USC, a school record for a freshman. He also scored a touchdown. It was his fifth 100-yard game this season.
Lawrence Guy, DT, Arizona State: Guy had two sacks and five tackles against California. He also forced and recovered a fumble.
