STANFORD, Calif. -- Just when you thought it was safe to predict an Oregon comeback... Luck and Gerhart. Or Gerhart and Luck.
And just when it seemed safe to wonder if the Ducks were in trouble... Masoli and James. James and Masoli.
Stanford gets a stop. Toby Gerhart goes 31 yards into Ducks territory. Andrew Luck throws a 31-yard TD pass to Chris Owusu. Back to 17 point lead.
Then the Ducks go 83 yards for a quick TD -- a short dump from Jeremiah Masoli to LaMichael James becoming a 55-yard explosion for the Ducks on third-and-7.
We're closing in on 800 yards of combined offense.
Stanford, however, can afford to trade touchdowns.
The Oregon D will have to step if it wants the comeback.
