Four players from the Pac-12 have been named to the 2013 Paul Hornung Award Watch List.
Now in its fourth season, the award is given to the "most versatile player" in college football. The watch list was compiled by a panel of college football experts based on stats, career performance and expectations for 2013. Stanford's Owen Marecic won the award in 2010.
The Pac-12 players selected for the 2013 watch list are:
The watch list is made up of 44 players, including 19 seniors, 21 juniors and four sophomores. Lee is one of three finalists from last year who are on the 2013 watch list.
This is the second year Thomas has been on the watch list, as well. He was one of only two players in the country last year to run for more than 700 yards, gain more than 400 yards receiving and accumulate over 600 yards in punt and kickoff returns. He led the Ducks in receptions (45 for 445 yards), punt returns (222 yards) and kickoff returns (389 yards) last season, tying for 29th in the nation (and fifth in the Pac-12) in all-purpose yards (135.2 avg.).
Foster a sophomore, makes his first appearance on the list, though it's the third-straight year for a Sun Devil after Jamal Miles was on the 2011 and 2012 watch lists. Foster finished second on the team last year in all-purpose yards with 493 rushing and 533 receiving. Four of his six touchdowns came in the air.
Thigpen rushed for 262 yards and touchdowns last year while catching 18 passes for 211 yards and two scores. He was third on UCLA with 849 all-purpose yards and posted a 26.9 yards-per-kick return average.
Lee, of course, needs no introductions, after winning the Biletnikoff Award last year for the nation's top receiver. Along with his 118 catches for 1,721 yards and 14 touchdowns, he also returned 30 kicks with an average return of 28.5 yards. He also returned one for a touchdown.
