Washington State fired offensive line coach Harold Etheridge on Wednesday, the school announced in a press release.
Etheridge has been with the Cougars since Paul Wulff was hired two years ago. Before coming to Pullman, he was offensive line coach at Northern Illinois in 2007 and North Texas (2004-06).
The Cougars, young and injury-riddled on the line the past two seasons, ranked last in the Pac-10 in rushing in 2009 and surrendered 53 sacks, which ranked 118th in the nation and was 24 more than any other Pac-10 team.
