Ruel out at USC

USC's offensive line coach Pat Ruel won't be retained by Lane Kiffin, the LA Daily News reported, though Ruel is still listed on the Trojans coaching roster.

This is a strong indication that James Cregg, whose hiring was announced yesterday, will be the Trojans offensive line coach.

Ruel, who's been the USC line coach since 2005, is a highly respected coach and recruiter. It's unlikely he will be out of work for long.
