Another arrest in beating of Oregon kicker

Police charged a second suspect Thursday in connection with the brawl early Sunday morning that sent Oregon kicker Rob Beard to the hospital with serious facial injuries.
Kirby Taylor Hawkins, 19, who's from Portland, has been charged with second-degree assault
The Eugene police released no other details.
Police previously charged Maurice Dion Peterson, a 20-year-old from Eugene, with second-degree assault in the case.
Beard, 19, has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a complete recovery. His parents told the Eugene Register-Guard that Beard could be ready for spring practices, which begin March 30.
