Oregon running back LaMichael James, who was arrested on domestic violence charges on Feb. 17, is scheduled to appear in court Friday for a change of plea hearing and sentencing, according to a report from KVAL.com in Eugene.
This suggests James will accept a plea deal, the severity of which should be revealing as to his status with the Ducks in 2010.
Oregon coach Chip Kelly opted to not suspend James while awaiting court action.
James was arrested for suspicion of strangulation, fourth-degree assault and menacing. He previously pleaded not guilty to the five misdemeanor counts.
