California has new life in Pac-12 play. Utah's first season in the conference is turning out to be a drag.

The Bears dominated the mistake-prone Utes 34-10, outgaining them 384 yards to 177 -- and most of those yards came during fourth-quarter garbage time.

The Utes lost the turnover battle 4-0, including three interceptions from QB Jon Hays. It has 14 turnovers in its past three conference games

California, which had lost three in a row, improves to 4-3 and 1-3 in conference play. It visits beleaguered UCLA next Saturday.

Utah falls to 3-4 and 0-4 in the Pac-12. The Utes host Oregon State next Saturday.
