Tennessee fans have a new reason to rant and rave about USC coach Lane Kiffin. He just got a commitment from the best player in the Volunteers home state.
Cornerback Jalen Ramsey announced a commitment to the Trojans on Monday. He's the No. 57 prospect on the ESPN 150.
USC's class, which now includes 15 committed players, is inspiring numerous superlatives. Eight of the 15 commitments are ranked among the top-10 players in the nation at their position. Eleven are members of the ESPN 150 and 14 are in the ESPN 300.
Due to NCAA sanctions, the Trojans will be limited to just 18 signees for 2013, and three must enroll early in order to count against the 2012 class.
That said, if tomorrow were national signing day, this class as it presently stands -- halfway through July -- would rank in the nation's top 10.
Further, the Trojans are squarely in the mix for a number of touted recruits. Kiffin is not done yet. And that won't bring smiles in Knoxville.
