Here's a quick look at Week 2 in the Pac-12.
All times are ET.
Utah (1-0) at Utah State (1-0), 8 p.m., ESPN2: Utah State is Utah’s oldest rival, and the series, in its 110th game, is the 12th-longest in NCAA FBS history. Utah leads the series 77-28-4. The Utes played their first football game ever against USU in 1892. The two teams did not play in 2010 and 2011. Utah has won the last 12 games against Utah State (and 20 of 22), including the last six games in Logan.
Eastern Washington (1-0) at Washington State (0-1) , 3 p.m., Pac-12 Network: Eastern Washington, the No. 9 FCS team, beat Idaho last weekend 20-3, so this is no gimme for the Cougars. The Cougars lead the all-time series 2-0 but the Palouse rivals last played in 1908.
Sacramento State (0-1) at Colorado (0-1), 3 p.m., Pac-12 Network: First meeting. Sacramento State went 4-7 last year but, notoriously, won at Oregon State. Buffs need to take this one seriously. The Hornets lost 49-19 to New Mexico State last Thursday.
Southern Utah (0-1) at California (0-1), 3 p.m., Pac-12 Network: First meeting. Cal is 25-0 against FCS programs. Southern Utah lost to Utah State 34-3 in its opener.
USC (1-0) vs. Syracuse (0-1) at East Rutherford, N.J., 3:30 p.m., ABC: USC leads the series 3-0, last winning 38-17 in 2011. The Orange lost a barnburner last weekend at home against Northwestern, 42-41. Syracuse outgained the Wildcats 596 yards to 337, but was killed by three turnovers. Orange QB Ryan Nassib passed for 470 yards and four TDs as the Orange nearly came back from a 35-13 deficit.
Wisconsin (1-0) at Oregon State (0-0), 4 p.m., FX: Wisconsin leads the series 2-0 and won 35-0 last year in Madison. The Badgers, however, only slipped Northern Iowa 26-21 on Saturday after building a 19-0 lead.
Fresno State (1-0) at Oregon (1-0), 6:30 p.m., Pac-12 Network: The Ducks are 6-2 all-time against Fresno State. They've won the last six meetings in the series, last losing in 1982. The Bulldogs beat Weber State 37-10 in their opener. QB Derek Carr , brother of former former Fresno State QB David Carr, threw for 298 yards and two touchdowns.
Washington (1-0) at LSU (1-0), 7 p.m., ESPN: This is the first time the Huskies have played a road game in the SEC since they visited Baton Rouge in 1983. LSU leads the series 2-0. In the 1983 game, unranked LSU handed ninth-ranked Washington a 40-14 defeat in front of 82,390 fans, largest in LSU history to that point. In 2009, the Steve Sarkisian era opened when 11th-ranked LSU visited Husky Stadium for the season opener, with LSU winning 31-23.
Nebraska (1-0) at UCLA (1-0), 7:30 p.m. Fox: Nebraska leads the series 6-4, winning the last matchup 49-21 in 1994. UCLA is 11-3 in its last 14 home nonconference games. Cornhuskers QB Taylor Martinez passed for a career-high 354 yards with five TDs in the opening win over Southern Miss. He completed 26 of 34 passes (76.5 percent). Nebraska piled up 632 yards of total offense. Nebraska RB Rex Burkhead is questionable.
Duke (1-0) at Stanford (1-0), 10:30 p.m., Pac-12 Network: Stanford leads the series 2-1. The Blue Devils are 3-14 in road openers. Duke beat Florida International 46-26 last weekend even though the Panthers dominated statistically.
Illinois (1-0) at Arizona State (1-0) , 10:30 p.m., ESPN: Arizona State leads the series 2-1, but Illinois won 17-14 last year at home. The big question is whether Illini starting QB Nathan Scheelhaase (ankle) will be healthy enough to play.
Oklahoma State (1-0) at Arizona (1-0), 10:30 p.m., Pac-12 Network: Last time Oklahoma State was in Tucson, it lost 20-6. Of course, that was 1942. This will be the team's third meeting in the last 15 games. The Cowboys won last year 37-14 and in the 2010 Alamo Bowl 36-10.
