Here's a look at the early games today. Go here for an explanation on the Pac-12 Network broadcast plan.
Times are PT.
Eastern Washington (1-0) at Washington State (0-1) , noon, Pac-12 Network: Eastern Washington, the No. 9 FCS team, beat Idaho last weekend 20-3, so this is no gimme for the Cougars. The Cougars lead the all-time series 2-0, but the Palouse rivals last played in 1908.
Sacramento State (0-1) at Colorado (0-1), noon, Pac-12 Network: First meeting. Sacramento State went 4-7 last season but, notoriously, won at Oregon State. Buffs need to take this one seriously. The Hornets lost 49-19 to New Mexico State last Thursday.
Southern Utah (0-1) at California (0-1), noon, Pac-12 Network: First meeting. Cal is 25-0 against FCS programs. Southern Utah lost to Utah State 34-3 in its opener. Of course, Utah State just beat Utah. And the Bears lost at home to Nevada. Ergo, Cal better at least show up.
Wisconsin (1-0) at Oregon State (0-0), 1 p.m., FX: Wisconsin leads the series 2-0 and won 35-0 last year in Madison. The Badgers, however, only slipped Northern Iowa 26-21 on Saturday after building a 19-0 lead. Wisconsin has won 33 consecutive regular-season non-conference games, the second-longest active streak among FBS teams. Its last regular-season non-conference loss came in 2003 against UNLV. Oregon State has lost two straight and three of its past four season openers.
