A lot more movement in the bowl projections this week than there was last week (which means Ted and I spent even more time blindly drawing names from a hat than we did a week ago). UCLA takes a big step forward, as do Arizona and Arizona State.
The Pac-12 blog likes Oregon State -- but needs to see a little more before deeming the Beavers postseason worthy. After all, they will be working on an 11-game schedule (at least for now) with five home and five road games remaining. After the bye, they travel to UCLA and Arizona in back-to-back weeks. They get one or two wins on the road and they'll pop up on this list.
Despite the loss, we're still projecting Utah based on history and track record. The BYU game, however, could completely alter the landscape of Utah's season.
BCS National Championship Game, Jan. 7: USC vs. BCS 1 or 2
Rose Bowl Game, Jan. 1: Oregon vs. Big Ten
Valero Alamo, Dec. 29: UCLA vs. Big 12
Bridgepoint Education Holiday, Dec. 27: Stanford vs. Big 12
Hyundai Sun, Dec. 31: Arizona vs. ACC
MAACO Bowl Las Vegas, Dec. 22: Arizona State vs. MWC
Kraft Fight Hunger, Dec. 29: Washington vs. Navy
Gildan New Mexico, Dec. 15: Utah vs. MWC
