We’re feeling pretty good right now about keeping Oregon in the top spot for the national championship in the wake of its shootout win at USC. And Oregon State is still sitting pretty with just one loss. However, next week’s showdown at Stanford could prove very interesting for how the Pac-12’s bowl outlook shapes up.
Both Arizona schools had a shot at gaining bowl eligibility this week, but both came up short and they continue to sit on the precipice with five wins each. UCLA strengthened its position with a statement win over Arizona and now sits atop the South Division.
Arizona probably gets its sixth win at home against Colorado next week while ASU tries to break a three-game skid on the road against USC.
Washington took a step closer to eligibility with its win at Cal, and Utah continues to hang around. Huge game coming up next week with the Utes traveling to CenturyLink Field.
Cal and Washington State officially joined Colorado in the maybe-next-year club.
