Pac-10 lunch links: Hazelton situation gets stranger at USC

It's Friday, so you've got that going for you, which is nice.

  • Arizona State is the latest Pac-10 team talking stadium renovation, joining Arizona, California, UCLA, Washington and Washington State (Stanford, USC, Oregon and Oregon State already have fixed up their homes over the past few years).

  • Speaking of renovations, it appears the Sun Devils offense might be getting a new weapon.

  • Ray Ratto: California and Stanford need road rage. And, by the way, Nate Longshore will start at quarterback for Cal at Arizona.

  • Oregon State's defense has grown up quickly after a slow start.

  • Stanford's defense is particularly stout in the red zone. Oh and the offense isn't bad down there, either.

  • UCLA quarterback Kevin Craft is still a work in progress.

  • The plot thickens in the USC receiver Vidal "Just give me the darn redshirt!" Hazelton Saga, including a no-longer secret correspondence between Hazelton's father and Pete Carroll.

  • Wonder if Washington's beleaguered defense can stop an itty-bitty freshman?

  • Washington State could be missing five offensive starters against USC. Other than that, things are great.
