Making the case for Bucannon: Bucannon was named to several All-American teams after being named first-team All-Pac-12. One of the biggest hitters in college football, he finished his career fourth in school history with 384 tackles and became the first WSU defensive player to be selected to play in the Senior Bowl since Marcus Trufant in 2002. He was a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award, given to the nation's top defensive back, and his six interceptions were the most by a WSU player in ten years. He forced a team-high three fumbles and recovered two. Coach Mike Leach said he steadily improved throughout the year and expects his game to translate well to the NFL.
