Arizona will play a home-and-home series with Mississippi State, while UCLA announced the same arrangement with BYU, both schools announced via news releases Thursday.
The Wildcats and Bulldogs will play for the first time in Tucson in 2022. They will play in Starkville in 2023. The game in 2022 will be Arizona’s first against an SEC opponent since a 2006 matchup with LSU.
UCLA and BYU will hook up in 2015 (Sept. 19) in the Rose Bowl, with the Cougars replacing Nevada on the Bruins' schedule. The Bruins will play a return trip in Provo in 2016 (Sept. 17).
UCLA leads the all-time series with BYU, 7-3, and is 3-1 against the Cougars both at home and on the road and 1-1 in bowl games. But in the teams' last meeting, in 2008, the Cougars rolled 59-0 in Provo.
The Bruins' friends across town, USC, announced last June a three-game series with BYU in 2019, 2012 and 2023, with the first game in Provo and the final two in the Coliseum.
UCLA has upcoming series with Texas A&M (2016/2017), Oklahoma (2018/2019), LSU (2021/2024) and Michigan (2022/2023).
