It appears the Pac-10 has a friend in Pat Forde.
Forde took five of the six Pac-10 teams that were selected in the ESPN.com mock draft, which featured Forde, Ivan Maisel and Mark Schlabach thinning the college football herd from 120 FBS teams down to 40.
Forde picked USC No. 1 overall, then selected Oregon (16), California (22), Oregon State (31) and Arizona State (40). Maisel selected UCLA at No. 30.
The four Pac-10 teams not selected were Arizona, Stanford, Washington and Washington State.
Of course, this won't go over well with Washington, which won the 1991 national championship, finished ranked No. 3 in the country after the 2000 season and, even during a 0-12 season, averaged 63,639 fans.
Ah, but it was all in fun.
