Utah loses two for medical reasons
By ESPN.com staff
Utah sophomore running back Beau Burton and freshman offensive lineman Zach Bolton have retired due to injuries, according to a release from the school.
Burton, who sat out his freshman season in 2009 with a foot injury, played in nine games last season, rushing nine times for 59 yards and one touchdown. He has been sidelined with the foot injury again for most of this spring, leading him to apply for a medical scholarship.
Bolton signed with Utah in 2010 but delayed enrollment while rehabilitating a knee injury in his home state of Texas. He joined the team this spring and re-injured the knee.
