Washington snags touted QB commitment
By ESPN.com staff
Mercer Island (Wash.) quarterback Jeff Lindquist has committed to Washington, picking the Huskies over his other finalist, Stanford.
Lindquist, 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, completed 57 percent of his passes last year for 1,994 yards with 15 TDs and nine interceptions. He also rushed for 1,107 yards and 18 touchdowns.
"I sat down and talked to my parents (Tom and Juli) last night and we kind of figured it out and were like, 'let's just get this done,''' he told the Seattle Times. "We got it done, closed the deal. We kind of laid it out and, at the end of the process, we were like, 'We think UW is the overall better place for me.' So that's where I'm at.''
Lindquist is the Huskies second commitment.
