Quick look at Week 4 games
By ESPN.com staff
Stanford, Utah and Washington State are off this week, but the Pac-12 schedule heats up with only one nonconference game.
All games are on Saturday, Sept. 24. Here's a quick look (all times ET).
UCLA (1-2, 0-0) at Oregon State (0-2, 0-0), 3:30 p.m., Prime Ticket: It's the desperation bowl. The winner has hope. The loser (probably) doesn't. Both teams have experienced upheaval at QB. Don't be surprised if the winner features the QB that plays better.
California (3-0, 0-0) at Washington (2-1, 0-0), 3:30 p.m., FSN: An early-season separation game in the Pac-12 North. The winner looks like the North's potential No. 3 team behind Oregon and Stanford. Both QBs, Washington's Keith Price and Cal's Zach Maynard, have been impressive early. It would seem, however, that Price will face a much better defense than Maynard.
Colorado (1-2) at Ohio State (2-1), 3:30 p.m., ABC/ESPN3: While Colorado hasn't looked great during a 1-2 start, it showed progress on both sides of the ball while beating Colorado State. And there was nothing in the Buckeyes performance at Miami, which previously lost to Maryland, that suggested they were unbeatable. Still, the Horseshoe is a brutal place to play and the Buffaloes haven't won a true road game since 2007.
Oregon (2-1, 0-0) at Arizona (1-2, 0-1), 10:15 p.m., ESPN2/ESPN3: The Ducks have pounded two lesser foes since the LSU loss, while the Wildcats have been pounded by a pair of top-10 teams. Will the Wildcats look any better against a third consecutive top-10 team?
USC (3-0, 1-0) at Arizona State (2-1, 0-0), 10:15, p.m., ESPN/ESPN3: A good way for Sun Devils to get over the tough loss at Illinois? Beat USC, which they haven't done in 11 consecutive games. Nice QB matchup between old guard Matt Barkley and new guard Brock Osweiler. This is the Trojans first road game of the season, and they play a lot of young guys who will be seeing their first road action.
