Safeties out for Arizona, UCLA
By ESPN.com staff
There won't be safeties in numbers for UCLA and Arizona on Thursday night. Both teams will be missing A-list players from their secondary, most likely for the rest of the season.
Arizona safety Adam Hall re-aggravated the knee injury that sidelined him for the first five games in the Wildcats loss at Oregon State. He's likely done for the year.
At UCLA, safety Tony Dye's season may be over due to persistent neck stingers.
Both Hall and Dye could pursue medical redshirts.
Arizona also has announced that two other players who suffered knee injuries -- LB Jake Fischer and DT Willie Mobley -- will apply for medical redshirts and not come back this season.
