Oregon State coach Mike Riley just said that offensive guard Jeremy Perry, probably the Pac-10's best run blocker, might play for the first time this season against USC on Thursday.
"I'm not ready to say he can play in the game," Riley said, "but we're getting closer to that."
Perry, who has yet to play this season after missing most of the 2007, has struggled to come back after knee surgery.
Riley also said backup QB Sean Canfield (shoulder) might be available vs. the Trojans.
