Pac-12 all over Phil Steele's A-A team

By Ted Miller

Phil Steele's 2013 All-American teams features seven Pac-12 players on the first team and 20 players overall on the four teams.

The most obvious omission? Oregon QB Marcus Mariota, though the four QBs Steele picks are a strong group: Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M; Braxton Miller, Ohio State; AJ McCarron, Alabama; and Teddy Bridgewater, Louisville.

It's also notable that this is not a good year for punters and kickers in the Pac-12. None made Steele's list.

Stanford led the way with five All-Americans, including four on defense. Oregon and USC had four. UCLA and Oregon State had two. Arizona, Arizona State and Washington each had one.

Here's how things stack up.
