More on college football perceptions
By Ted Miller
I jumped on the radio Thursday with ESPN's Scott Van Pelt and Ryen Russillo for a few minutes to talk about my story about perceptions of conferences across college football.
You can listen here.
We talk about whether the Pac-12 is the No. 2 conference behind the SEC, how the SEC dominates the college football conversation, what role the Civil War played in the rise of southern football and if there are any holes in the SEC's perceived awesomeness.
I know you guys are sick of hearing about the SEC. The general point is the only way to change the media narrative -- for ESPN or anywhere else -- is for a team from another conference to win the national title, preferably by beating an SEC team to do it.
As Ric Flair said: "To be the man, you've got to beat the man."
