Pac-12 Heisman Trophy update


Here's a look at what the Pac-12's top Heisman Trophy candidates did over the weekend. Names will be added or subtracted to the list, as warranted.

Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford: Luck completed 20 of 31 passes for 325 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the win over Arizona. He also ran three times for 36 yards. He ranks 10th in the nation in passing efficiency. Trending? Same.

LaMichael James, QB, Oregon: The Ducks running back rushed for 204 yards on 12 carries with three touchdowns, including scoring runs of 90 and 50 yards, against Missouri. Trending? Same.

Matt Barkley, QB, USC: He completed 26 of 39 passes for 324 yards and five touchdowns -- tying a school record -- with no interceptions in USC's 38-17 win over Syracuse. He's thrown nine touchdown passes and just one pick this season. Trending? Up.

Chris Polk, RB, Washington: Polk had 22 carries for 130 yards and a touchdown at Nebraska. He also caught two passes for 16 yards. He ranks 13th in the nation with 120.67 yards rushing per game. Trending? Same.

Nick Foles, QB, Arizona: Foles completed 24-of-33 for 239 yards with a touchdown an no interceptions against Stanford. He completed his first 17 passes but then cooled off. He was sacked five times. Trending? Down.

Darron Thomas, QB, Oregon: Thomas completed 11-of-15 for 206 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions against Missouri State. He has 10 touchdown passes and ranks 14th in the nation in passing efficiency. Trending? Same.
