With 19th pick, the Eagles take ...

PHILADELPHIA -- Three days after that 48-30 debacle at Minnesota, Eagles fans will find a lot to like in Todd McShay’s first 2014 mock draft .

ESPN’s draft expert has the Eagles taking Oregon cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu with the 19th pick of the first round.

McShay has an impact pass-rusher higher on the Eagles’ list of needs, but doesn’t think there will be one worth taking with the 19th pick. After Sunday, it’s hard to argue that a “ball hawk and playmaker” in the secondary wouldn’t be a good consolation prize.

Eagles coach Chip Kelly has already chosen Ekpre-Olomu, recruiting him to Oregon in the first place. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound Ekpre-Olomu doesn’t have the size Kelly seems to value, but he is only 20 and has played every game so far in his two seasons with the Ducks.

According to McShay’s scouting report, Ekpre-Olomu is “aggressive and plays bigger than measurable indicate.”
