Brandon Boykin established himself as one of the top cornerbacks in the NFC last season for the Philadelphia Eagles.

If the Eagles decide to select a cornerback in this week's NFL draft – Virginia Tech’s Kyle Fuller would be a strong option at No. 22 in the first round – Boykin would relish the competition.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Philly Sports Talk” on Comcast SportsNet, Boykin discussed the possibility of the Eagles taking a cornerback in the draft.

“You always welcome it. Everybody understands it's the NFL, turnover rate is crazy,” Boykin said. “You need depth at certain positions. Injuries happen and you need specific players and people to do certain things every year. We need more talent, we need more corners. Whoever comes in, we're gonna them and get them ready to play.”

Boykin was also asked if he was the top slot cornerback in the NFL.

“I do. I'm gonna end it with that,” Boykin said.
