Michael Vick participates in early drills

By Phil Sheridan

PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles quarterback Michael Vick took part in all of the team's drills in the portion of practice that was open to the media Tuesday.

Vick, 33, left Sunday's game against the New York Giants with an injury to his left hamstring. He had an MRI exam done Monday morning. ESPN and other outlets reported that Vick was likely to miss next Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Eagles head coach Chip Kelly said that no decision had been made.

Vick took the field with the rest of his teammates. He wore his helmet, red practice jersey and a pair of gray sweatpants on a chilly October morning. He took part in stretching drills, showing no obvious ill effects, and joined Nick Foles and Matt Barkley in a passing drill. Practice was closed to reporters before any 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 periods.

NFL rules compel teams to report injured players' participation, or lack thereof, in practices on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The rule does not cover the Tuesday practices Kelly implemented in his first season as coach.
