Philadelphia Eagles: 2013 NFL Week 7 Power Rankings
Preseason: 25 | Last Week: 21 | ESPN.com Power Ranking since 2002
The Eagles are 3-3 and ranked right in the middle of the NFL pack at No. 17, up four spots from last week. That seems self-explanatory. What’s worth a second look is the Power Rankings of the teams the Eagles have played. Their three losses were to the No. 1 Broncos (6-0), the No. 2 Chiefs (6-0) and the No. 15 Chargers (3-3). Their wins came at the expense of three of the five lowest-ranked teams: No. 28 Washington, No. 30 Tampa Bay and the 31st-ranked New York Giants. The lesson: We know less about whether the Eagles are getting better or their schedule is simply getting easier. Perhaps a little of both.
They get a chance to make a statement in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys, who are ranked 13th and tied with the Eagles for first place in the woeful NFC East.
