Steelers set offseason practice schedule
By Scott Brown
Steelers’ offseason workouts will begin in just over a month when the team starts its strength and conditioning program on April 22.
Those are followed by on-field workouts in which individual instruction and drills are permitted under the collective bargaining agreement.
Teams are allowed 10 OTA sessions during the offseason and the Steelers have scheduled their voluntary practices for May 27-29, June 3-5 and June 9-12.
Mini-camp, which is mandatory for all players, will be held from June 17-19.
Those practices mark the end of the offseason as the players will be off until the start of training camp in late July.
The only other practices that will be held during the offseason will the weekend following the NFL draft.
Rookie orientation runs from May 16-18 at the Steelers’ practice facility.
