Jason VoorheesParamount Pictures Sure, Jason Voorhees is a cold-blooded killer, but he also enjoyed occasional games of pond hockey.
These 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs have already produced quite a few villains, from Shea Weber skull-gaveling Henrik Zetterberg into the glass to the reactionary violence of pretty much everyone in a Pens jersey (though, oddly enough, still no penalty minutes for Matt Cooke). But one of the fun aspects of hockey is that even with so many legitimate bad guys to choose from, there are still dozens of other players whose names alone make them seem like they should be villains. Blame it on American cinema for giving many of our antagonists Eastern European names, but take a look at any bench in the NHL and chances are you’ll feel like you’ve seen a couple of the names in a sci-fi flick before.

So here’s the game: sci-fi villain or hockey player? Each of the names below belongs to either a villain in a well-known sci-fi film or an NHL player whose team is currently in the playoffs. If you score 90 percent or higher, let me know and I’ll buy you a drink at Comic-Con this year.

A) Vladimir Harkonnen
B) Adrian Veidt
