Last week Nebraska unveiled an alternate uniform for the Cornhuskers' game against Wisconsin on Sept. 29. Now it turns out that the Badgers will have their own alternate uni for that game, making this a rare matchup of teams wearing big letters, instead of numbers, on their chests.
AdidasNebraska and now Wisconsin will feature large letters on their chests for their Sept. 29 game.
As for which uni is better, Wisconsin gets the nod for keeping black out of its color scheme. But the real problem is that the two designs look like they came out of the same design laboratory -- which, in fact, they did, because this game is now being marketed as an adidas "rivalry" promotion. Meanwhile, remember all those crazy uniforms Maryland wore last year? Here are this year's home and road designs, courtesy of our friends at Under Armour. Eh, whatever -- it's hard to get too worked up about a team that went 2-10 last season. Remember the golden rule of uniform innovation, people: If you dress like a clown and win, you're a winner; if you dress like a clown and lose, you're just a clown.
