ESPN Playbook: What has been your "Welcome to the NFL" moment?

Tannehill: I guess it would have to be the first time I went to rookie minicamp. You have that initial moment of going on stage and shaking the commissioner’s hand and holding up the jersey and that’s an awesome moment and a moment I will never forget. But I think it really hits you when you put on that uniform and that helmet for the first time, and you’re with your team and at your facility, and you’re out on the field.

What are you going to miss the most about college?

I’ll really miss playing at Kyle Field. It was a really special place, with the 12th man, and the fans we have there are great. Playing on that field, I’ll definitely miss.

What are you looking forward to most about your new city?

Really the first game. I’m excited to be a part of Miami and really get settled in down there. I’m new to the area, just trying to get things figured out, but once we get to training camp and I get that first game under my belt, it will really be great.

What is your favorite video game?

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.”

If you could get one rookie card from one player here, who would it be?

That’s a tough one, there are a bunch of good players here. Hard to pick one. I’m going to go with Michael Floyd.

Who has the best college cheerleaders?

A&M -- the only male cheerleaders in the country!

What are your offseason goals?

Right now we’re in OTAs -- they go until the end of June -- and then I have the Rookie Symposium after that and about three weeks off. I just got married in January, and I haven’t had a formal honeymoon, so I think my wife and I will take a trip in July and get ready for the upcoming year.

Ryan Tannehill
Tannehill is competing with Matt Moore and David Garrard for the Dolphins' starting job under center.
What was the NFL draft like for you?

I was in New York, so it was a big process, a lot of fun with the events leading up to draft night. Draft day, we went to a children’s hospital in the morning and then kind of kicked back with my family and my wife and then went down to the Radio City Music Hall. Tried to relax as much as possible. I didn’t think about it much, and I enjoyed New York and enjoyed the moment.

What's the biggest difference between being a college football star and a pro football player?

The focus is a lot bigger. In college, it’s national, yeah, but it’s pretty localized. You’re pretty much centered around the fan base in your city or your area. When you get to the NFL, it’s a nationwide thing, fans all over the place.

Who would be the one celebrity, athlete or otherwise, you would like to meet?

I’m not much of an interviewer, but Will Smith would be a cool guy to meet. He did the Miami song, and that was in my head when I got picked.
